SDS is short form of Sistem Dua Semester; formerly known as Program Satu Tahun (PST). This is a required course for students who enrolled in Module 1 and Module 2 in Malaysian's Matriculation Education. The SP015 and SP025 covered various branches of physics field area mainly to develop Mechanics, Conservation Laws, Waves, Thermal Physics, Electrics and Magnetism, Lights, Basic Quantum and Nuclear into an essential foundation for science and technology understanding.

SES is short form of Sistem Empat Semester; formerly known as Program Dua Tahun (PDT). This is a required course for students who enrolled in Two Years Program in Malaysian's Matriculation Education. Also known as DP014 and DP024; most of the topic covered mainly to develop Mechanics, Conservation Laws, Fluids, Waves and Thermal Physics into an essential foundation for science and technology understanding.

Physics Unit is under the management of Science Department of Kolej Matrikulasi Perak. Lead by an outstanding leader, Mr. Mohd Redzuan bin Md Arsat and with the help of his two sidekicks Mdm. Nik Norhasrina binti Nik Din and Mr. Abd Qahhar bin Abd Rahman. This unit is strengthen by all 32 awesome lecturers whose any of pakcik or makcik would consider to make them their menantu but only few are still available. Among these lecturers, eight of them are assigned to teach students of Sistem Empat Semester (SES) while others are here for students of Sistem Dua Semester (SDS). All of them are approachable and quiet funny; in case if any of the students would like to arrange a meeting after class, some of them would very helpful even to stay after working hours (sometimes).
